These are a few of the instruments I have helped design and build during my academic career:

Schlieren imager.  This setup allowed for simultaneous orthogonal imaging of a fluid falling jet into a density gradient.

Optical Trap 1.  Dual optical trap used for stretching bacterial flagella and cell bodies used in my dissertation.

Optical Trap 2.  Dual optical trap and force clamp used for measuring the forces of protein DNA interactions.

Microfluidic Devices.  Custom flowcells used with optical traps.

Optical Trap 3.   Dual optical trap coupled with a fluorescence microscope used to image and manipulate protein DNA interactions.
